This was the first year I’ve ever been able to host Christmas at my house — my very own home — and it made me feel so content and i was able to really relax — not a familiar holiday feeling for me and gotta say, i really liked it. usually, i’m rushing around, packing and getting on a plane or making a long road trip to meet up with my family. but this year we were all in L.A. together and i was able to have my family here for the holidays. which means i was staying toasty warm and happy at home! so, i decided to upgrade my bedding and bedroom style to welcome the new year in style. pretty bedding is the best, and a welcome place to recharge and rest after rush of the holidays. i’ve partnered with one of my favorite shops for bedding and homewares, anthropologie, and together we created a pale, fluffy winter wonderland in my bedroom.
we added the super soft Embroidered Paragon Sheet Set in light gray to compliment my gray linen draperies; and for a splash of soft color the Soft-Washed Linen Duvet in lilac — the two look really beautiful together. and for cozy accents and contrast, we added a Snow Dusting Throw with sweet fuzzy pompoms (my favorite!) and a faux fur throw pillow in gray, as well. i love the way it looks, and feels — so warm and comforting — i want to lounge about here all day — and it’s been nice to have some time off to actually do that. i got a new journal (in metallic rose gold!) to brainstorm blog ideas, and i also added loads of pretty candles, a ceramic ring cone and some new jewelry boxes to keep my baubles much better organized. i also framed a few favorite prints and photos for me bedside. it’s so soothing in here, i couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. new year, new bedroom — loads of new dreams to make come true.
