’tis the season for celebration and last week i had the most fun hosting a holiday party for the always refreshing SKYY Vodka! we started the party planning off quite right by choosing The Fig House as our event space, and hiring RoomForty to cater some amazing bites — like mini lobster rolls and the most delicious ravioli that ever crossed my lips. everything they served was awe-inspiring, including the desserts (mini s’mores served in individual glass domes? what?!?) then, top that off with their beverage director extraordinaire, derrick mixing us up some of his special SKYY Vodka cocktail recipes and there was not much that could wrong — and it all went definitely very right! we were welcomed with the Yuletide Fizz made with SKYY Infusions Coastal Cranberry and continued on sipping SKYY — a sugar and spice made with pumpkin and Garnished with a cinnamon sugar rim; a divine Poinsettia made with Hibiscus water; and the pièce de résistance and my new favorite cocktail — a clarified milk punch. you can find recipes by clicking on the link, and on SKYY’S website, Pinterest boards and instagram. oh, and note SKYY’s sweet little holiday sweater — such a cute hostess gift.
to enhance the beautiful Fig House even more, i enlisted floral designer heather of twig and twine to help me create a winter wonderland of tiny christmas tree arrangements decorated with vintage ornaments and wee little lights. heather also draped the best smelling handmade garlands of pine and eucalyptus from the lighting fixtures. i also got help from my go-to furniture rental place — found rentals. i created a fun little faux photo booth with their tufted velvet chairs and their beckett bar cart filled with crazy christmas props — the perfect spot for a holiday christmas portrait. you can check instagram for the hashtag #letsholidayy to see some of the silliness that happened there. thanks so much to the team at The Fig House, RoomForty and all of you who assisted me in making such a pretty party! and thanks for everyone who came to have cocktails! cheers!
