grown up art.

domino magazine's office, via a beautiful mess.

at one point in my life, i had a pretty large collection of artwork, but much of it was reproductions or mass-produced prints found on Etsy, but now that i've gotten a lot older i'd like a more 'grown up' art gallery. not that some of that art cannot be found on etsy, or ebay, or a lot of online galleries - because it most definitely can be (check my resources page for 'cool art you can afford'). it's just that the artwork i had was very young, and kind of uncurated - a very colorful mix of art that didn't necessarily compliment each other. as i mature (ahem, me? mature?) i'd like to have a collection that i've given a bit more thought to and means something significant to me personally. these homes seem to have that je ne sais quoi – undefinable, but distinctly more grown-up.

Tiny Tot Thursday: Design Twins furniture, decor, & pretty pots

image

There is one instagram account that gets me every single time and that's Design Twins. What I like most is their unique materials used for decor. There is a lot of paint on concrete and other things that ends up looking so fabulous.  Their pots and elevated planters are what really made me pay attention to them. More on that later. First, let's take a peek at some of their items for kid's rooms.

image

Crystal and Mitch first started making unique concrete homewares in their kitchen sink. Thanks to social media, their business grew, largely due to the popularity of their pots. The boutique homewares store showcases Australian Brands & Designers and you can purchase here. No this isn't a sponsored post. I just like their product line.

So many cute pillows to pick from and cute black and white nursery options or decor for an adult black and white room

This scalloped table is one of the many furniture options to pick from. It's almost like a built-in tray…

Now for the pots. I swear #designtwins make me wanna try my green thumb…
