For some reason these interiors are new to me but they're from the 2012 Kips Bay Showhouse. I liked these two rooms with the ocean hues.

There's a brand new limited-edition collection launching soon from IKEA and I'm pretty over the moon excited about it. their new VIKTIGT collection is the result of a creative collaboration with Ingegerd Råman, one of Scandinavia's most well-known glass designers and ceramists. According to Ingegerd, the collection “is about craft, it's a project between the craftsmen and the designer.” Besides her classic glassworks and ceramics, there are wonderful new furniture pieces made from bamboo and natural fiber. The collection includes benches, stools, side chairs, baskets, rugs, a couple of great-looking large woven lamps, and bowls in different sizes and braided lids - but you'll need to hurry and scoop up what you love - the limited collection is available at IKEA only for a limited amount of time, and launches in stores beginning the week of May 23.
As part of VIKTIGT collection, IKEA is also launching a book about Ingegerd Råman, one that i've got to add to my collection of design books. in it's nothing but it's still something, she welcomes you into her Swedish homes and work studios in Stockholm and Österlen - a well-known destination for creative minds. The book tells the story of Ingegerd, her long and successful career as a glass and ceramic designer, and her view on design and creativity. Because it's about more than just the every day – it's also about the simple beauty of Scandinavian design.
have y'all watched beyoncé's lemonade visual album yet? i bought the album on itunes, and it comes with the hour-long video, so of course i had to see what all the fuss is about. visually, lemonade is really stunning and very thought-provoking. it's a combination of songs from the album and some spoken word - some badass spoken word in which, i'm sure you've heard - she calls out her husband for cheatin' with 'becky with the good hair'. it's quite revealing and ultimately, i guess it's a story of making lemonade from lemons, so to speak. but honestly, i can't really tell if it's the most genius marketing plan ever, or if bey really is calling out jay z for cheating on her. i mean, he had to know she was creating this epic piece of music and film and how would one keep its contents a secret? it's all up for speculation, but i guess that's the point, right? what are your thoughts? did they plan it together, or did she spring this personal journey of betrayal, revenge and eventually reconciliation and redemption on mr. carter? and now, they say Jay Z is recording a new album of his own 'to tell his side of things' after Beyoncé addressed infidelity rumors with lemonade. huh - sounds like marketing to me, but you can watch the trailer, right here - and then do tell - what do you think about all this?
